The Manger Marine House
In
1993, the Manger recognized the dire need of care for elderly and disabled
people. We established the Manger Marine Home in Uitzicht to cater for their
special needs. Our residents at Manger Marine are reliant on a government
pension or disability grant and this makes care in a private facility
unaffordable. Marine House currently houses, feeds and cares for over 110
elderly and disabled people.
Accomplishments:
·
Cupboards are being built at Head
Office and are being installed for the various
rooms.
·
We have built a Memorial Wall in
memory of those who have passed on.
·
We encourage the residents to do
daily tasks and endeavour to make them as
comfortable as possible in their retirement.
Building projects to be
done at Manger Marine:
·
The
7de Laan Complex is going to be converted into a church for the
residents. Please assist us with funds for building materials and
construction.
·
Tiling of Church floor after the church has been
built.
·
Ceilings need to be replaced in most of the rooms.
Manger Marine is in need
of the following assistance:
·
We would like somebody to donate
garden furniture.
·
We are urgently looking for 3 steel outer doors.
·
The property needs 6 solar geysers.
·
We would like to purchase gym equipment for the residents.
·
We urgently need radios for our security.
Larger sponsors,
particularly those who are willing to undertake to a regular monthly
contribution, may advertise on our property in Uitzicht Pretoria
(Manger Marine).
All donations contributed, be it with cash or material
goods are tax deductible according to section 18A of the SARS income tax
